Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Monit ("we" or the "Service") collects about you, how we use and store it, and what rights are available to you. We act as the controller of the data and process the information in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, including Amendment No. 13 to the law. Use of the Service constitutes acceptance of this policy.

What Data We Collect

  • Account details: email address and name, received upon registration or when logging in with Google.
  • Usage data you enter: clients, projects, tasks, time entries, items, rates, billing documents, and notes you create in the Service.
  • Technical data: a session cookie for login, as well as basic operational logs (IP address, browser type, request times) used for security and stability.

How We Use the Data

We process the information for the following purposes only:

  • To provide the Service, and to store and display your clients, projects, hours, and charges.
  • To authenticate you and maintain account security.
  • To maintain, monitor, and improve the system's stability and performance.
  • To communicate with you regarding matters concerning your account only.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or disclose it to any third party for advertising purposes.

Sharing with Service Providers

We use infrastructure providers only, who process information on our behalf in order to operate the Service:

  • Neon / AWS: database storage (Frankfurt region, European Union).
  • Vercel: application hosting.
  • Google: optional login via a Google account (OAuth).

These providers process data on our behalf only and subject to security and privacy obligations. Apart from these providers, we do not disclose the information to third parties, unless required to do so by law or by order of a competent authority.

Storage and Transfer of Data Outside Israel

The data is stored and processed on servers located in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and storage of the data outside the borders of Israel, in a region that maintains an accepted level of data protection.

Data Security

Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), and data access is isolated at the database level so that each user sees only their own data (Row-Level Security). We take reasonable and accepted measures to protect the data, but no measure provides absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

Security Incident

In the event of a material security incident concerning your data, we will act in accordance with the applicable provisions of the law, including notification to the extent required by law.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies only, primarily the session cookie that keeps you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics tools that track your activity.

Your Rights

In accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and its regulations, the following rights are available to you:

  • Access: to view the data we hold about you.
  • Export: to download a copy of all your data from your account settings.
  • Correction: to update or correct your details at any time.
  • Deletion: to permanently delete your account and all its data, from your account settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When the account is deleted, all of your user data is irreversibly removed from the system, except for operational logs that clear themselves after a short time, and except for information we are required to retain by law.

Minors

The Service is not intended for use by minors under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect information about them.

Changes to the Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. In the event of a material change, we will update the revision date and provide notice as needed. Continued use of the Service after the update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
